Heol-Y-Bwlch Gundogs is owned and run by Gareth and Kate Davies, who have been training dogs since 1999 and trialing since 2003. Gareth's interest in Cocker Spaniels developed from rough shooting with his brother. Upon leaving home, wife Kate bought a Cocker for Gareth from Alan Gwynne (Windmill Wood).
The next three years were heavily spent with Cyril Gwynne (Wernffrwd) learning
the trade secrets, without which, all of their achievements would have been much
more difficult to gain. Thank you Cyril.
In their first season, the couple won their fourth trial and season two saw three seconds.
New Champion
Pictured above is Ben Randall with Championship winner FTCH Heolybwlch Fatty, winner of the 2011 Cocker Spaniel Championship. We would like to congratulate him on a magnificent performance. He ran an excellent Championship, she was trained to perfection and her condition was second to none.
